Monica Torres

Community Health Worker, Hunterdon-Mercer Chronic Disease Coalition
Monica joined the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center in 2019 where she serves to deliver cancer prevention, support early detection efforts, and address the needs of cancer survivors. Based in Mercer County, she works with at-risk and underserved populations to assist in connecting community members to services. Monica’s previous experience of working in a hospital setting serving patients along with working in community outreach as part of the NJCEED program in South Jersey enables her to navigate the health care system to educate and connect community members to services. Monica is bilingual in Spanish and English and is certified as a peer leader to deliver the Cancer Thriving & Surviving program.
