Myron E. Bednar, MD
Dr. Bednar is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Honor Medical Society while at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After completing internships in surgery and medicine, he completed his internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Specialty fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology were also completed at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where Dr. Bednar was Chief Fellow.
Dr. Bednar is an active participant in cancer research. He serves as the director of clinical trials at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. Dr. Bednar and the Cancer Center are involved in research trials through the National Cancer Institute (NCI) – National Community Oncology Research Program. Dr. Bednar has been published in several respected scientific journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the Proceedings of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Journal of Cancer. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Bednar is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology.
