Cancer Survivorship Series: The next chapter.

This is a five-week program geared towards educating people with all types of cancer diagnoses who have completed active treatment no more than two years ago and currently are disease free. Professional guest speakers include: a Medical Oncologist, a Primary Care Physician,a Advanced Practice Nurse, a Oncology Certified Dietitian, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a licensed acupuncturist/ Director of Hunterdon Integrative Medicine, and a Physical therapist with a concentration in oncology rehabilitation. Topics to be discussed are: management of disease, nutrition, physical well-being, emotional well-being, and life after cancer.

Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center is proud to work in conjunction with the Cancer Support Community to offer survivorship programs that empower individuals to take an active role in their recovery. The Cancer Support Community is located in Bedminster, NJ and offers a wide variety of support, educational and mind/body programs for cancer patients and their supports. Cancer Transitions

Cancer Transitions is a program conducted by the Cancer Support Community. It is open to cancer survivors, who have completed their active treatment between one month and two years ago and have no evidence of disease. The program is held annually in the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center conference room. For details and to register call (908)658-5400.

Yoga for Cancer Patients and Survivors
Beginning March 2016, Yoga for cancer patients and survivors will be held on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Oncology Rehabilitation Center.  Space is limited.  This class is free to anyone in active treatment.  All others, $15 per class or four classes for $52. Please contact the Hunterdon Integrative Medicine Program at (908)788-2572 to register.
